The granton:hub was a hive of activity yesterday as the wonderful Edinburgh Tool Library came over to help us make 6 raised beds – the start of the granton:hub medicine garden! Together with helping hands from other volunteers, fuelled by Lisa’s Wild Garlic soup and Diane’s delicious cookies, we cleared a corner of the garden from debris, levelled it off a little (continuing amazing Anne’s hard work!) and created 6 planters all from reclaimed pallet wood. These are now ready to be put into their final positions, lined, filled and planted up! It was great to be around such a wonderful bunch of folk, all mucking in and giving their time so generously. Thank you to everyone who came along and popped by to see what was happening. Keep your eye out for our next workshop at the granton:hub filling the beds and sowing our medicinal herb seeds.
