I am very pleased to have a number of herbal projects lining up this spring, which I am really looking forward to cracking on with.

The first is another attempt to form a small herb growing collective around our wee patch at Blackford Glen. So far this is going much better than last year when it was mostly just me! We plan on planting our patch and then gathering once a month to drink tea and chat about the properties of different herbs.

The other two are both working with different community growing projects which I’m already involved with in the capacity of food growing. I am working with the Pilton Community Gardeners to establish a medicine garden and run workshops around remedy making and wild harvesting, and doing a folk medicine course with the Lochend Community Growing Project.

Soon we hope to organise a visit to the Secret Herb Garden. A wonderful new nursery setting up outside of town. I’ll be sure to post some photos of the magical place!
