Wild Things: A Year of Wild Food and Medicine, has been listed as part of the Scottish Government’s Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Practical Training Fund – we’re calling it Climate Change Fund for short…

If you’ve thought about studying with us in the past but have been short of available funds, this may be the year to join us. The fund offers £500 or more in certain circumstances and is designed for people who are working in or would like to work in the land-based sector and who live in Scotland. You need to complete an eligibility form and these are then considered by a panel within at least 2 weeks. The funds are to be distributed by the end of March 2022, so do apply soon if you think you might be eligible. More information in the FAQs here

Wild Things is currently being offered as an online or blended option, so although we have already released some classes, these are recorded rather than live and you can catch up with them anytime. Due to the gradual start to a Scottish Spring, our first classes are relevant for several months and you will have access to them indefinitely so can revisit every Spring. We also currently have a couple of spaces on our optional in-person herb walks in Glasgow, whcih are available as an add-on to the main course – the first walk is on 1st April 2022 so still time to book and get along to these.

Please note, Grass Roots Remedies is not involved in the administration of the fund, this is through Lantra Scotland and the SkillSeeder app, you can apply here: https://search.skillseeder.com/applications/intro?training-fund=1&course=jGUr3Rms8wXzGCBq5fXs
